Dechan Angmo

Dr. Dechan Angmo is a senior research scientist with the Printable PV team under the Renewable Energy Group at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia’s national science agency. Dechan has a background in materials science and engineering. Before joining CSIRO, she completed her PhD in organic photovoltaics at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). While at DTU, she co-founded a photovoltaic start-up, infinityPV ApS.

At CSIRO, Dechan’s research spans various internal and external projects focused on developing materials, roll-to-roll manufacturing processes, and applications for the next generation of printed perovskite solar cells. She has contributed to over 50 research articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, authored four book chapters, and delivered numerous invited talks at international conferences.

Dechan is a member of the Australian Photovoltaic Institute and Women in STEMM Australia. She has received several prestigious awards, including CSIRO’s Julius Career Award (2022), the Research Plus Postdoctoral Grant (2022), and the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Early Career Research Award (DECRA) in 2019, including other collaborative project funding.
