AMIO establishes research partnership between two Australian institutions – the University of Queensland (UQ) and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) – and seven prestigious universities in east and southeast Asia, including Kyushu & Yamagata Universities in Japan, University of Seoul & Kyung Hee University in South Korea, Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology in Thailand, Universiti Malaya in Malaysia, and University of St Andrews in the UK.
